As increasing accidents of children, safety education became more important than before, Moreover, accidents became the most important cause of death in childhood. However, safety education program for children is not well developed in this country.
The main purpose of this study was development of web-based safety education program for children.
The 10 topics of teaching contents were selected and storyboards were developed by researchers. After developing teaching-learning contents by researchers, technical supports for web contents such as graphic design, programming, multimedia developing were provided by professional company. The animated graphics were produced by using 'macromedia flash player'. Reading of the texts were performed by professional radio actress. The site name and domain name, http://ccoma.redcross.ac.kr, were not changed.
This web-based safety education program will be useful for children, their parents, and teachers.
